2. Eustachian Tube Dysfunction:
The Eustachian tube connects the middle ear to the throat and regulates internal pressure. When it doesn’t function properly, it can cause a feeling of fullness in the ear, clicking or popping sounds when swallowing, and constant pressure. This is common during colds, allergies, or changes in altitude.
3. Ear Infections.
Infections, such as otitis media, can cause inflammation and fluid buildup. Symptoms associated with otitis include pain, mild fever, a feeling of fullness in the ear, and hearing loss.
4. Pressure changes (barotrauma)
Traveling by plane or climbing mountains can cause pressure imbalance, known as barotrauma. This can lead to sudden ear blockage, discomfort when swallowing or yawning, and a feeling of internal pressure.
