Even the ankle straps and tiny details
Some changes are obvious… but others are almost invisible unless you pay extremely close attention.
The reality of these viral challenges is that a psychological phenomenon called change blindness is playing tricks on your mind. As the seconds tick by, your brain gets lazy and blends the two images into one perfect picture, completely glossing over the details.
If you break the illusion and look closely at her shoes, you will find the real edit.
Look at the ankle strap on her leg on the right side of the image. In the left picture, the strap consists of two parallel horizontal lines. In the right picture, the straps are altered and crossed into an X shape.
The trick with these puzzles is that the remaining differences often do not even exist. Creators change one or two minor details to get you hooked, making you freeze and stare at your screen while your brain tries to find the rest. It is a brilliant way to drive engagement, proving that the real test is your patience rather than an arbitrary IQ score.
